Fada, is one of Limerick’s most talented performers. The twenty-five-year-old Kildare native has been embraced by the Limerick Gay Scene, and regularly travels with an entourage to his gigs both in Limerick city and all over the country.
Fada came to prominence on the Limerick Scene as the presenter and vocal soloist during the notorious, impromptu “Gayhem” variety nights at Riddlers Bar, where he serves as the Riddlers’ Resident MC and singer. He also took to the stage during most of the events of Limerick Pride 2009: the Launch party, during the Mr. Gay Limerick competition, Riddlers’ Variety night, and the Pride Party in Dolans Warehouse.
Fada has of late taken his voice to the national stage, Singing at the afterparty of the “March for Marriage” in Chambers (Cork), reaching the final of “Come Fly with Flux” at Flux bar (Cork), joining Limerick’s 1st Ladies of Drag Sheila Fits-Patrick and Madonna Lucia on the stage in Pantibar (Dublin) for the Eurovision weekend. Fada also reached the quarter finals in the “Anto’s XFactor” competition in The George in Dublin, with the support of Riddlers Bar.
Fada can generally be found in Riddlers Bar (9 Sarsfield St) on Thursday night for Karaoke with Fada, Friday nights for Gayhem and Saturday nights as part of Saturgay.
